Julies Swim School

Terms and Conditions 2024

Please read the terms and conditions below carefully:

- All customers agree to abide by these terms and conditions. In the unlikely event that a customer fails to comply, they may be asked to discontinue lessons with the swim school. No refunds will be provided in such cases.

- Swimming teachers are responsible for pupils only during their swimming lessons. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children at all other times.

- Parents/guardians must stay on the premises while their child is in the lesson. This is important in case of a medical emergency, building evacuation or other emergency.

- Parents/guardians should not distract the teacher during a lesson and should communicate through email instead. Speaking to the teacher during the lesson may distract them from supervising the pupils.

- Any medical condition of the child must be disclosed before the lessons start.

- Parents/guardians should arrive no more than 10 minutes before the lesson and ensure their child sits quietly and does not interfere with the lessons or touch the equipment. They should not enter the poolside any sooner than 2 minutes before the child’s lesson.

- Changing rooms require blue shoe covers to be worn. No pushchairs or prams are allowed in the changing room or pool area.

- Spectators should remain in the seating area to prevent distractions and wear blue foot protectors.

- Children with chest, ear or eye infections should not attend swimming lessons until they have cleared completely. Children who have had diarrhoea or sickness should not attend for at least 72 hours after recovery. Children with chickenpox should not attend until all blisters have dried up.

- In the event of a pool closure, a credit note will be issued instead of future payment for the following term. No refunds will be provided.

- The swim school and facility provider will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury except in the case of death or personal injury arising as a result of negligence, lack of due diligence, breach of duty or any other circumstances where liability cannot be excluded by law.

- Swim teachers hold relevant qualifications, have undergone DBS checks and possess public liability insurance.

- Misbehaviour in and around the swimming pool environment can be disruptive and is not tolerated.
